Summer's Baby Shower

My family and friends hosted a baby shower for Summer and I in Montgomery. The decor was so cute and colorful, and each of the guests decorated a onesie for Summer! An enormous stack of gifts were so beautifully decorated, each person so excited about the little baby in my tummy!

Each mother shared priceless advice with me. This was my favorite morsel, "Most importantly, Sarah, remember that God made you Summer's mom for a reason. You won't be perfect, but God has placed within you everything that your daughter will need. Don't be afraid to follow your instincts, He put them inside of you".

I really love being pregnant...emotional roller coaster aside! :) Chris bought an above ground swimming pool, and I have literally lived in it this summer! Chris is a sweetie, being very patient with all my wants and needs.

I've been writing in a journal so I don't forget all the funny stories, all the conversations we have about our unborn child. It's amazing how much love we have for someone who's face we haven't even seen. In a few short months, we will be parents.

Nesting!

We have been remodeling our Canyon Lake house every since we were married in November, but now the "nesting" stage of pregnancy has set in. Worries about everything being perfect for sweet Summer Lynn are keeping me up at night and driving Chris absolutely crazy! My parents ("Sweetie-Pie" & "Grampy") bought Summer's nursery decorations from Pottery Barn, it's so bright and colorful!

So we had the genius idea to stripe the walls, lay wood floors and organize her already abundant closet...many late nights followed, and finally her room is finished and awaiting her arrival! :)
